## Description

Keeping a 17-inch Blackstone griddle surface protected between cooking sessions is the main job of the BESSIO KLDR silicone cover. Its rectangular design is made to cover the cooking surface, including the edges, helping keep leaves, pollen, dust and other outdoor debris off the griddle.

If you need an accessory for cooking, a cooking mat serves a different purpose. This cover is for protecting the griddle when it is not in use, so the surface is ready for your next meal with less debris to clear away.

The food-grade silicone is flexible and easy to clean with soap and water or in a dishwasher. It is designed for 17-inch Blackstone griddles and requires no trimming.

## Tips for day-to-day use

Place the mat over the griddle surface when the cooking session is finished to help shield it from outdoor debris and moisture. This is useful when a griddle stays outside between meals, where pollen, leaves, insects and dust can collect on an exposed surface. The full-coverage design aims to protect the edges as well as the centre, rather than leaving corners open.

The manufacturer describes the silicone as able to withstand temperatures up to 500°F and says it can be placed directly on the griddle without waiting for it to cool. Buyers’ feedback on durability is mixed, however, so treat this as a protective cover rather than a cooking surface. For regular care, wash it with soap and water or put it in the dishwasher.

## Strengths

Full surface coverage is the key practical benefit: the mat helps keep the cooking area cleaner when the griddle is idle and protects it from common outdoor debris. The flexible silicone construction makes it straightforward to position as a cover, while dishwasher-safe care offers a convenient option after use. The orange colour also makes the cover easy to spot among outdoor cooking accessories.

Some buyers say the cover fits well and is easy to clean, while others report mixed experiences with fit, size, cleaning and durability. The intended fit is for 17-inch Blackstone griddles, so matching the mat to that griddle size is an important part of choosing it.

## Is it worth it?

It suits you if you want a reusable cover focused on protecting a 17-inch Blackstone cooking surface between grilling sessions. Compared with a general cover that may leave the griddle surface exposed, this mat is shaped to cover the cooking area and its edges. Its food-grade silicone construction, simple cleaning options and full-coverage design make it a practical choice for keeping an outdoor griddle surface cleaner and protected when it is not being used.
