## Description

At 55 x 38 in, this extra-large silicone cat litter mat creates a broad landing area around the litter box to catch stray litter before it travels across the floor. Its non-slip surface gives cats a comfortable place to stand or walk, while the raised edge helps contain litter and keep water or urine from seeping onto the floor.

The mat also works as a pet resting or feeding mat, making its generous coverage useful beyond the litter area.

## Worth noting

The silicone surface is designed to stay in place and feel gentle under your cat’s paws. After litter is scattered, clear it away with a towel, broom or vacuum, or rinse the mat with water. It dries quickly and can be reused, so routine clean-up fits easily into everyday care. The raised edge adds a practical barrier around the mat’s perimeter, helping contain messes in one defined area rather than letting them spread across the floor.

A wide mat is especially useful when you want more coverage around the box than a small, compact litter mat provides. It can also serve as a feeding surface or a place for a pet to rest. Buyers commonly praise the generous size, litter-catching function and easy cleaning, some, however, describe the mat as flimsy and raise concerns about how well it will hold up over time. Those differing impressions are worth weighing alongside the benefits of its coverage and simple cleaning routine.

## Quick sizing guide

This version measures 55 x 38 in (140 x 96.5 cm), giving it a broad rectangular footprint for placement beneath or in front of a litter box. Measure the floor area where you plan to use it, including the space needed for your cat to step out of the box. The larger format can suit a single-cat setup where extra floor coverage is welcome, or a multi-cat household looking to collect scattered litter in a shared area. Its size also gives it practical use beneath feeding bowls or as a pet resting mat.

## Getting the most from it

Place the mat on the floor where your cat exits the litter box, with the raised edge positioned to help contain loose litter and moisture. For regular upkeep, sweep or vacuum away collected litter, rinse with water when a more thorough clean is needed, then let the mat dry before putting it back into use. It can be folded for storage when you need to clear the floor, making it easier to put away between uses.

For a feeding area, position it beneath your pet’s bowls to create a defined surface that can be rinsed clean. As a resting mat, its silicone construction offers a comfortable surface for a cat to stand or settle on. Choosing this wider format makes sense when coverage is the priority, a smaller mat may suit a more compact placement, while this one is designed to cover a larger section of floor.

## Is it worth it?

For cat owners who want a roomy surface around the litter box, this Bartuke mat combines generous dimensions with a raised edge and straightforward clean-up. Its versatility as a litter, feeding or resting mat adds useful options for everyday placement. The wide footprint is the main reason to choose this version: it gives scattered litter more area to land on and helps keep the surrounding floor easier to manage.
