Aünsffer 009-C Round Black Toilet Seat, 16.5-Inch, Slow Close
Product description
The slow-close mechanism gently lowers the seat, helping keep bathroom use quieter and avoiding a sudden slam. It’s a practical detail for a shared home or for anyone who prefers a softer close.
A black finish and round shape give the Aünsffer 009-C a clean, modern look. Its PP construction and 16.5-inch size make it a defined replacement option for a bathroom upgrade.
Designed for most standard toilet bowls, it measures 42 x 36 centimetres. Checking those measurements against your bowl helps you assess the fit before installation.
Why it makes sense
A standard seat closes when it is lowered, this one is designed to descend slowly instead. That controlled movement helps reduce noise and the impact of slamming, a useful everyday difference when a bathroom is shared or used at night. The benefit is simple: close the lid without the abrupt drop associated with a conventional seat.
The black colour gives the toilet a more distinctive finish than a basic white seat, while the round shape suits round bowls. The design combines that visual change with a functional feature, so it can serve as both a replacement seat and a straightforward bathroom refresh.
Buyers have praised the quiet soft-close action, appearance and ease of installation. Feedback on fit and sturdiness is mixed: some find the fit accurate, while others describe it as snug, and opinions differ on how sturdy it feels. The included mounting hardware supports the installation, and the slow-close mechanism remains the standout feature for daily use.
What matters most
The seat is made from PP plastic and measures 42 x 36 centimetres, the product title also gives a 16.5-inch size. It has a round profile, a black finish and a slow-close mechanism. These details help narrow the choice: match the round shape and measurements to your toilet bowl, then consider whether the colour and quieter closing action suit your bathroom.
The listing describes it as a fit for most standard toilet bowls. Since bowl dimensions and shape affect how a seat sits, comparing the listed measurements with your existing seat is a practical way to assess compatibility. This is especially useful when replacing a seat rather than choosing one for a new installation.
Tips for day-to-day use
Mounting hardware is included, and the seat is described as simple to install. During setup, align the round seat with the bowl and use the supplied hardware to secure it. A properly aligned seat is more comfortable for everyday use and keeps the black finish centred on the toilet.
The slow-close action is intended to lower the seat gently, rather than requiring a quick drop. Letting the mechanism do its job supports the quieter closing experience that distinguishes this design. Buyers also mention straightforward installation, making it a convenient option for a routine seat replacement.
When it makes sense
Worth considering if you want a round black seat with a slow-close mechanism, or if you’re updating a bathroom and want a practical change alongside a more modern finish. It is particularly suited to households where a quieter close is welcome and the listed dimensions match the bowl.
If your priority is a simple replacement, the included mounting hardware and easy-installation design help keep the job focused. If you’re choosing between a conventional seat and a slow-close style, the Aünsffer 009-C adds controlled lowering to its round PP construction and black look—useful features for a bathroom seat used every day.
