## Description

Some outdoor post lights are chosen to mark a boundary, others should also add a warm, considered finish to a deck or porch. The APONUO 18171BDR solar post cap lights combine warm-white Edison-style LEDs with two brightness modes, giving you a choice of softer or brighter light for outdoor posts.

This black, square 8-pack is solar powered and made for a range of wooden and vinyl post sizes, so it can bring a consistent look to a fence, patio or garden.

The adjustable output lets you choose the lighting level that suits the setting, from a softer accent along a fence to a brighter glow around a deck or porch. With no pattern frame, the light has a more open spread. Each cap is designed for outdoor placement, and the solar panel can recharge in sunlight, the product information recommends installing it in a well-lit location for efficient charging.

## What it works with
The set includes four base sizes and screw fittings for mounting on compatible posts. It is suited to 4x4 and 6x6 wooden posts, described as actual 3.5x3.5 and 5.5x5.5 inches, as well as 4x4 and 5x5 vinyl or plastic posts. This makes it useful when matching caps to a fence or deck built with different post materials or sizes. Check the stated post dimensions against your installation before fitting, then secure each light at the top of the post with the provided screws.

Because each light is solar powered, placement matters: a spot that receives sunlight during the day supports charging for evening use. The stated charging time is 6–8 hours in sunlight. Once fully charged, the mid-brightness setting is listed for more than 12 hours of lighting, while the high setting is listed for more than 10 hours. Actual charge depends on the sunlight available at the installation location.

## Usage tips
Choose the brightness mode according to the area and the effect you want. The 15-lumen setting suits a gentler accent along a series of posts, the 30-lumen setting gives a brighter warm-white point of light. Using the same setting across the 8-pack can help create a more uniform appearance along a fence line, around a deck, or beside a porch.

Before installation, match the base to the post size and position the cap where its solar panel can receive daylight. The black, matte-look finish and square shape make the lights a straightforward fit for modern outdoor spaces. Buyers have praised their appearance and useful illumination, while feedback on sturdiness is mixed, treat the polyethylene caps with care while fitting them.

## Should you buy it?
These APONUO post caps are a practical choice when you want solar-powered accent lighting across multiple compatible fence, deck or porch posts, with the flexibility to select between two levels of warm-white brightness. The 8-pack, included screw fittings and range of post sizes make it easier to plan a coordinated installation, while the IP44 rating is suited to outdoor use. If your priority is a consistent finishing detail with adjustable light rather than a single fixed-output post light, this set brings those features together in one design.
