For pregnant sleepers looking for support around the body, this extra-large U-shaped pillow has an extended side designed to cover more of the user than an ordinary U-shaped pillow. Its shape can help support the head, neck, back, hips and knees while you settle into a comfortable sleeping position, with the goal of promoting spinal alignment.

The removable cover makes it easier to take the cover off when needed, while the polyester filling gives the pillow its cushioning. It is also designed for use in several positions, so it can serve as a full-body pillow beyond pregnancy.

## Practical tips
Position the pillow around your body to find a comfortable arrangement for your head, back, arms or legs. The U shape gives you support on both sides, while the longer side offers extra coverage along one side. Would a conventional, evenly proportioned U-shape provide the same reach? The extended side is the defining detail to consider if you want more coverage from a single body pillow.

The pillow arrives vacuum-sealed. After unpacking, press, pinch and fold it for a while to help it regain its fluffy shape. Its dark grey colour suits a simple, understated bedroom palette, and the removable cover gives you a practical way to separate the cover from the pillow when handling it.

## Best use cases
During pregnancy, use the pillow to create a supported position for side or back sleeping and to cushion areas such as the hips, knees and back. It is intended to help reduce the need to keep shifting positions through the night, making it useful when you want more than a standard head pillow beside you.

After the baby arrives, the same pillow can be used as a nursing pillow to support the baby and help free the mother’s hands. Adults can also use it as a body pillow when lying on their side, back or belly. For post-operative use, it can provide padding where needed, including around the knee, hip, spine or shoulder, follow any positioning guidance from your care team.

Compared with choosing separate cushions for different parts of the body, this single U-shaped design brings surrounding support into one pillow. You’ll like it if you want a versatile cushion for pregnancy that can continue to serve as a nursing or general body pillow afterward.

## Practical questions
**What does the extended side add?** It is longer than the side on an ordinary U-shaped pillow, giving the design more coverage along one side of the body.

**Can it be used after pregnancy?** Yes. It can be used as a nursing pillow after the baby is born, and as a body pillow for adults.

**Can adults use it for positions other than side sleeping?** Yes. It is designed for adults lying on their side, back or belly, with the U shape providing surrounding body support.

## Is it worth it?
This AMCATON pillow brings together an extra-large U-shaped design, an extended side and a removable cover in one versatile cushion. It suits shoppers seeking fuller-body support during pregnancy, with a practical second use for nursing and everyday lounging after the baby arrives.
