It connects directly to your TV’s HDMI port, with a compact design that keeps your setup tidy. Want to bring streaming apps and live TV together on one screen? Alexa voice search helps you find something to watch across apps. ## Quick overview The Fire TV Stick HD gives your TV a Fire TV interface for browsing movies, shows and live TV, with crisp Full HD picture quality. You can access services including Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Apple TV, Crave and Paramount+, along with free, ad-supported content. Subscription fees may apply to some services. The updated Fire TV experience organizes browsing into dedicated content categories, lets you pin more favourite apps and offers personalized recommendations from Alexa+. Instead of relying only on your TV’s built-in interface, this stick brings its own entertainment hub and voice search to an HDMI connection. Its thin, lightweight profile is designed to connect without blocking other ports. ## Everyday use For a straightforward setup, connect the stick to your TV’s HDMI port and use the included USB-C cable for Direct Power from the TV. This eliminates the need for a wall adapter. When it’s time to watch, use the Alexa Voice Remote to search by speaking naturally, browse apps or launch a favourite service with a preset button. The remote also has dedicated power and volume buttons for controlling a compatible TV, soundbar or receiver. That makes it easier to manage everyday viewing from one remote. Buyer feedback often highlights easy setup and user-friendly operation, while some customers report mixed experiences with connectivity and reliability. These are individual impressions, the product’s listed features include Wi-Fi 6 support and voice-controlled browsing. ## Getting the most from it Use Alexa voice search when you have a show or topic in mind, or browse the dedicated categories and personalized recommendations when you want ideas. Pin frequently used apps for quicker access, then use the remote’s preset buttons to open top apps directly. For a typical evening, the stick can take you from the TV’s HDMI input to a streaming app, a live-TV option or free, ad-supported viewing without searching through separate devices. It’s a good fit if you want to add Full HD streaming and a voice-controlled Fire TV interface to your TV in a compact format. Compared with watching through a TV’s existing apps alone, this offers a dedicated Fire TV experience with Alexa+ recommendations and a remote designed to control compatible home entertainment equipment. ## Questions before you buy **What can I watch with the Fire TV Stick HD?** You can browse movies, TV episodes, live TV and free, ad-supported content through supported apps.
