## Description

Extend a USB-A connection to a hard drive, webcam, hub or other peripheral without moving your computer or device closer to the port. The AINOPE AP465-2M set includes two 6.6 ft USB 3.0 extension cables, giving you more room to position connected equipment where it is convenient to use.

Each cable has a USB-A male connector at one end and a USB-A female connector at the other. Its nylon-braided exterior, reinforced connector joints and metal-shell connectors are designed for regular indoor use, while the included sticky buckles help keep spare cable length organized.

## Quick overview

These USB 3.0 cables extend a USB-A port and support data transfer rates of up to 5 Gbps. That extra reach can help when a computer sits under a desk, a USB port is awkward to access, or a peripheral needs to sit farther away. Use the cables with USB-A devices such as external hard drives, USB hubs, flash drives, printers, scanners, mice, keyboards and webcams.

The two-cable pack is useful for setting up more than one connection or keeping a second cable ready for another workstation. The cables are also backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices, so they can extend connections to older USB equipment as well.

## Everyday use

The round, grey cable has a flexible, wear-resistant nylon braid, and the reinforced SR joints are described as tested for more than 20,000 bends. Multiple layers of shielding are intended to help minimize interference. For a tidy setup, use the included sticky buckles to gather excess length rather than leaving it loose around a desk or entertainment area.

Buyers often praise the cable’s useful reach, braided appearance and everyday performance. Feedback on flexibility and connectivity is mixed, so those experiences can vary. For a typical setup, route the cable between the USB-A port and the peripheral, then place the device within reach without having to reposition the computer.

## Getting the most from it

Connect the male end to a USB-A port and plug a compatible peripheral into the female end. A practical example is extending a desktop port to a webcam or USB hub on the desk, or bringing a hard drive within reach for file transfers. If you need to extend more than one peripheral, the second cable provides another separate extension.

A USB 3.0 connection can transfer data at up to 5 Gbps when used with compatible equipment, the cable also supports older USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 standards. Need to reach a less accessible port while keeping the connected device close at hand? This cable-and-peripheral arrangement offers a straightforward alternative to moving the computer or changing the entire setup.

## Questions before you buy

**What connectors does the cable use?** It has a USB-A male connector on one end and a USB-A female connector on the other, so it extends a USB-A connection.

**Does it work with USB 2.0 devices?** Yes. The cable supports USB 3.0 and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices.

**How many cables are in the pack?** The package includes two AINOPE USB 3.0 extension cables. Sticky buckles are also included to help organize cable length.

## Should you buy it?

For a desk, entertainment area or other indoor setup where USB-A devices need more room, the AP465-2M combines a 6.6 ft reach with USB 3.0 data transfer and a braided, reinforced build. The two-cable pack is especially practical when you want to extend separate peripherals or keep another connection ready, without changing where your computer sits.
