## Description

Some pipe runs need to continue straight, others need a clean change of direction while joining threaded fittings. The AHFMANG street elbow creates a 90-degree turn and pairs a male 1/4" NPT thread with a female 1/4" NPT thread, helping connect male- and female-threaded components in a compact fitting format. Its stainless steel 304 cast construction suits practical pipe-routing work where material and thread type matter.

Supplied as a two-piece set, these elbows can be used to connect, terminate or redirect a pipe run. The stainless steel finish gives the fitting a straightforward place in industrial piping applications.

## Getting the most from it

Use the elbow where a threaded line needs to change direction by 90 degrees, or where a male-threaded fitting needs to meet a female-threaded connection. The male-to-female NPT arrangement is the defining feature: it lets the fitting join those thread types directly while redirecting the run, rather than simply continuing it in a straight line. Is a turn in the line part of the layout? This street elbow is made for that specific connection task.

Before installation, match the 1/4" NPT thread size and male/female orientation to the fittings in the intended assembly. Position the elbow so its turn follows the planned route, then connect it as part of the pipework. The set includes two fittings, making it useful when a project calls for more than one change of direction or when keeping a matching pair on hand supports the planned installation.

## Where it shines

This fitting is suited to threaded pipework where the route needs to turn and the connection must transition between male and female threads. It can help organize a run around the layout of surrounding equipment, instead of requiring the pipe to continue in a straight direction. That makes the 90-degree shape useful when connecting, terminating or redirecting pipe in applications such as oil and gas, petrochemical, power plant, steel and chemical industry settings.

Compared with a straight-through connection, an elbow is the practical choice when the pipe route needs a turn at the fitting. The stainless steel 304 cast construction is a clear material specification for selecting the part, while the matching 1/4" NPT thread sizes make it easier to assess whether it fits the intended connection. The two-piece quantity can also suit a layout that needs a pair of elbows rather than a single directional change.

## When it makes sense

It makes sense if the installation calls for a 90-degree change of direction and a direct male-to-female NPT connection at 1/4". The defined thread arrangement helps narrow the choice to a fitting that matches the connection requirements, while the cast stainless steel 304 construction and two-piece set support planned industrial pipework. Choose it for joining or redirecting compatible threaded fittings where a compact elbow connection is the right shape for the route.
