NEEWER phone case with 17mm lens mounts

Built-in 17mm threaded mounts and a quick-release 67mm filter adapter give this NEEWER case a more camera-focused role than a standard phone cover. It is made for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, with access to the buttons, charging port, camera and speakers. The faux leather texture is intended to provide a firmer grip while filming on the move, and the case is also compatible with MagSafe wireless chargers and many magnetic accessories. It’s a practical choice if you want to add filter or lens options without moving to a separate camera, but the product details don’t say whether lenses or filters are included.

Technical details

The case uses a TPU and PC hybrid construction and has a faux leather finish. Its two 17mm threaded lens mounts are positioned over the phone’s 200MP wide-angle and 50MP telephoto cameras, for connecting compatible 17mm phone lenses. A separate 67mm adapter attaches compatible filters, including ND, CPL, black diffusion, light pollution reduction and gradient types. The adapter slides into place and is held magnetically.

NEEWER also describes the case as compatible with MagSafe wireless chargers and many other magnetic accessories. That wording doesn’t establish compatibility with every magnetic accessory, so anyone relying on a particular mount or add-on should check its fit before buying. It’s designed for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the listing doesn’t provide dimensions or details for other phone models.

What it works with

This case is aimed at Galaxy S25 Ultra owners who want to experiment with phone photography or video. For example, you could attach a 67mm ND filter before recording outdoors to shape the look of a bright scene, or use the threaded mount with a compatible 17mm phone lens. These are accessory connections, not camera upgrades in themselves, so the result depends on the lens or filter you pair with the case.

If you only need everyday scratch and impact protection, a simpler case may be a more direct fit. This one adds a grip-focused finish and camera accessory mounts, which are useful only if you plan to use them. It's a good option if you already have, or intend to buy, compatible 17mm lenses or 67mm filters.

Usage tips

Seat the 67mm adapter securely before fitting a filter, then check that it stays in place while you handle the phone. For a lens, match it to the 17mm threaded mount rather than assuming other phone lens formats will fit. The case leaves the charging port and speakers accessible, and its MagSafe compatibility may suit a setup that uses magnetic charging alongside filming accessories.

The textured faux leather is meant to help with grip during handheld shooting, but it doesn’t replace a tripod or other stabilising support. If your filming setup depends on a particular filter or magnetic accessory, confirm that item’s connection requirements first. The product information does not specify what accessories come in the box.

Before buying

The main decision is whether the built-in camera connections justify choosing this over a basic protective cover. They give you a defined route to using 17mm phone lenses and 67mm filters, while the everyday case features include access to the phone’s controls and stated protection against scratches and impacts. The trade-off is that its specialised mounts may add little value if you shoot without separate lenses or filters.

It may not be the best option if your phone is not a Galaxy S25 Ultra, or if you need confirmed compatibility with a specific magnetic accessory that isn’t identified in the listing. Given its design, it makes most sense for someone building a compact phone-video setup around the stated lens and filter formats, rather than someone looking only for a plain cover.
