Belkin Qi2 magnetic charging pad, 15W

Key specifications

For iPhone and other Qi2 phone owners who want to charge while keeping a screen visible, the Belkin BoostCharge Pro combines magnetic alignment with a pop-up stand. It delivers up to 15W to compatible devices, and the stand supports portrait or landscape viewing while charging. A tethered 2 m USB-C lead gives more flexibility for positioning it on a desk or bedside table, though the product details don’t specify a wall adapter, so factor in having a suitable power source.

The pad can charge through compatible cases up to 3 mm thick. Its housing, excluding the cable and silicone components, uses at least 75% post-consumer recycled plastic, and the packaging is plastic-free. Those details may matter if you’re weighing a stand-equipped charger against a simpler flat pad, the trade-off here is a more useful viewing position, rather than a compact charging surface with no stand.

Who it’s for

Te encaja si you use a compatible Qi2 phone and want it propped up for a video call, a recipe on the kitchen bench or a quick episode at your desk while it charges. The magnetic alignment is intended to keep the phone positioned on the pad, while the extra cable reach can help when the nearest power point isn’t right beside the spot you want to use.

Puede no ser la mejor opción si your phone isn’t Qi2-compatible, or if you want a charger that folds down small for a pocket or bag. The built-in stand adds a viewing function, but the listed details don’t give a folded size or weight, so there’s no basis to judge how portable it is. Also, the 15W figure applies to compatible phones, it isn’t a promise of that output for every device.

Everyday use

Raise the stand and set the phone in portrait for a call, or turn it to landscape to watch a video while it charges. The cable stays attached, so there’s no separate lead to connect to the pad each time, and its 2 m length gives room to place the charger away from the wall adapter. For overnight charging, the stand can stay folded down if you prefer a flat surface, during the day, the upright position makes the phone easier to glance at.

The case-friendly fit is useful if you don’t want to remove a compatible case for charging, but the stated limit is 3 mm. A thicker case falls outside the supplied guidance. The product details also don’t list a power adapter as included, so don’t assume the USB-C lead alone provides power.

Before you decide

Will it work with any phone? It is described for compatible iPhone and Qi2 devices. The information doesn’t establish compatibility with phones that lack Qi2 support.

Can I use it with a phone case? Yes, provided the compatible case is up to 3 mm thick.

Can the phone stay visible while charging? Yes. The pop-up stand supports portrait and landscape viewing, including for video calls and streaming.

Final verdict

This Belkin pad makes most sense if you’ll use the stand regularly, want magnetic alignment and value the reach of a fixed 2 m cable. It offers more than a basic flat Qi2 pad for desk or bedside viewing, but that extra function is less compelling if you only need a charger to leave on a nightstand. Check that your phone supports Qi2 and that you have a suitable power source, the supplied information doesn’t confirm an adapter in the box.
